Exhibitions in 2022

SFSA Drawing Open 2022 will include one of my drawings. This is a true open group show, with 100 artists participating, each submitting one drawing of their choice. The show will be on at No Format Gallery, Deptford, London SE 14 6BN from Friday 6 June to Sunday 8 June and again from Wednesday 11 June to Sunday 15 June, noon to 6pm each day. There will be a preview party on Friday 6 June from 6 to 8pm, when lots of the artists will be there including several other HB Drawing artists who also have work in the show.

Trinity Buoy Wharf Drawing Prize 2021 The exhibition, which includes one of my windowscape drawings, started its UK tour at Drawing Projects UK, Trowbridge, Wiltshire from 8 January to 5 March 2022 and is now moving to the Cooper Gallery in Dundee from Monday 21 March to Saturday 16 April 2022, open Mon – Sat, 11am – 4pm. It is free but you need to book a visit via Eventbrite here. There is also a preview on Saturday 19 March from 2-5pm and you can book a slot there via this Eventbrite link.

MAP this show looking at how maps function as ‘a symbolic visual representation of the relationships between elements within a given space or time, either physical, imaginary or metaphorical’ will include one of my Wish you were here postcard series. The much delayed show, originally scheduled for March 2020, will open across three venues in Kent. My drawing will be at Beach Creative, Herne Bay from Friday 18 March to Thursday 31 March 2022. The other two parts of the show will be at Fishslab Gallery, Whitstable from Wednesday 16 to Tuesday 29 March and at Creek Creative, Faversham from Tuesday 22 March to Sunday 3 April. Change of plan about the PV: instead of a PV there will be an Open Day on Sunday 27 March, when the show will be up at all three venues and the artists are encouraged to be present.

Su is exploring her life-long interest in drawing, making books and textiles. Her work explores the connections between current and past selves, and the role of memory and construction in the narrative of our lives.  In looking at the multiple ways we present ourselves, she is influenced by the perspective of being a twin: always together yet always separate.

She completed the MA Drawing course at UAL Wimbledon in September 2017, and previously studied under artists including: Jeanette Appleton, Clare Bryan, Sarah Bryant, Tony Hull and Lin Kerr.

She is a member of HB Drawing.

Kisses.’ After a display at Bower Ashton Library, University of the West of England in July 2021, the show moved to Winchester School of Art Library from Monday 16 September to Thursday 11 November 2021.
