Exhibitions in 2021

Trinity Buoy Wharf Drawing Prize 2021 I’m delighted to say that one of my windowscape drawings was selected for the final exhibition. The exhibition was launched with a prize-giving ceremony on 29 September 2021 at Trinity Buoy Wharf in London. The show will be open to the public at Trinity Buoy Wharf in November, dates to be confirmed, before starting its UK tour at Drawing Projects UK, Trowbridge, Wiltshire from 8 January to 5 March 2022.

Postcards for Perec a collection of images created in response to one of the 243 postcard messages written by Georges Perec to his friend Italo Calvino in 1978. It includes my postcard created in response to the message: ‘Our motel’s name is La Tagada. Peace and quiet, and all that. There’s a two-star place not far away where the guests are a bit much, boo sucks! Kisses.’ After a display at Bower Ashton Library, University of the West of England in July 2021, the show moved tto Winchester School of Art Library from Monday 16 September to Thursday 11 November 2021. A full digital catalogue is due to be published later in the year.

Su is exploring her life-long interest in drawing, making books and textiles. Her work explores the connections between current and past selves, and the role of memory and construction in the narrative of our lives.  In looking at the multiple ways we present ourselves, she is influenced by the perspective of being a twin: always together yet always separate.

She completed the MA Drawing course at UAL Wimbledon in September 2017, and previously studied under artists including: Jeanette Appleton, Clare Bryan, Sarah Bryant, Tony Hull and Lin Kerr.

She is a member of HB Drawing.
