This series of postcard-sized drawings emerged from the HB Drawing project As I Walked Out, where we took day-trips by train to a destination chosen by chance. Read more about it here. We ended up on the fringes of London, in suburbs which we might not otherwise have chosen to visit.
The images that interested me were precisely those of the overlooked, the ordinary, the everyday, the things that in fact make up most of our surroundings. The more you look, the more interesting and mysterious they become.
